Bone Buttons

These are simple bone discs of varying sizes. They probably were locally made, and may have been covered in fabric with a string eye. Examples found in excavations at Fort Michilimackinac, Michigan date from 1750 to 1770. This type of button is the second most common found at Davidsonville.
