Pearlware saucer with blue transfer print design

Many of the sherds from this saucer are badly scorched from burning. The pattern is an island scene with a castle dominating. There are three men in the foreground, one of whom is reclining. A saucer with this same pattern was found in archeological excavations at Old Brownsville in Illinois. Several sherds of this pattern were also found at Arkansas Post, during excavations of American period (post-1803) deposits.
