Musket ramrod pipe

This cast brass ramrod pipe is one of only two gun parts found at Davidsonville to date. It would have been mounted to the stock of an English Brown Bess musket or colonial American-made British style musket. This would have held the ramrod. A ramrod was used to push the ball (bullet) down inside the musket barrel before firing.
