Teapot lid


This teapot lid (finial is missing) is a type of ceramic ware called Jackfield. It was manufactured in England from about 1745 to 1790. Examples of this distinctive ware are common on American historical archeological sites dating to the 1760s (Noel-Hume 1969:123).
